Commercial Pattern Fitting - Your Guide To Great Fitting Clothes

Commercial Pattern Fitting - Your Guide To Great Fitting Clothes

Class Type: Lecture
Length: 1-2 hours.

Description: Pioneers in pattern fitting, Palmer/Pletsch has been perfecting their approach to fitting for over 40 years. How do they do it? By fitting real women! Having long ago dispensed with tedious measuring or making a muslin to check the fit of a sewing pattern, they have mastered the process of tissue-fitting. This simply means "trying on" the pattern's tissue pieces to see where to alter the pattern for a custom fit. By following a systematic tissue-fitting sequence that has been developed and refined (wait ‘til you see the “wrinkle dictionary”!), the pattern pieces themselves become the muslin! Join Pamela Leggett, director of the two East Coast Palmer/Pletsch Workshop locations and fitting fanatic, to get all the new information and updates to this tried-and-true method of fitting.
