Our Team
Owner and Designer of Pamela's Patterns, Pamela Leggett
Pamela has been teaching sewing since 1981. Specializing in pattern fitting, fine garment sewing skills, knits and serging she has developed a fun and informative teaching style that is available in her patterns and instructional DVD's.
One of Pamela's passions is creating garments that flatter and fit the wearer. Her desire to teach others to achieve the perfect fit led her to the Palmer/Pletsch pattern fitting method, which she has used to help hundreds of women successfully achieve good fit and a renewed love of garment sewing. It is with this knowledge that she created Pamela's Patterns, which have many fitting solutions and adjustments built in the patterns.
Pamela's Patterns have been reviewed and featured in magazines and on-line review sites. Pamela is a contributing writer, book author and DVD personality for Threads Magazine, an instructor for Craftsy online classes, director of the Palmer/Pletsch Philadelphia and Connecticut Sewing Workshops and a national sewing/serging educator. She has also appeared on PBS's Sewing With Nancy and Canada's The Shopping Channel.
Pamela lives in Connecticut where she operates her business and has a teaching program at The Studio at Pamela's Patterns in Vernon CT.
Shipping / Receiving and Office Manager, Jessie Fay
With an online business, shipping is a HUGE part of what goes on with Pamela's Patterns. Jessie takes care of all of this, keeping orders running smoothly even when I am traveling to teach. She also puts together kits for the website and classes, and helps with setting up the studio for workshops and classes. Jessie loves to sew, we met when she came in for a serger lesson - and she's been here ever since!
Instructor and Support, Melissa Kozuch
Melissa brings many years of teaching and a wide variety of skills to Pamela's Patterns Studio. She can do it all - from fashion sewing to embroidery/digitizing/software to upscale sewn crafts. She is a beloved sewing instructor in Connecticut and I am so blessed to have her a part of this team. She also helps out with shows, class planning and creating kits.
Graphic Design, Joanne Coan
Joanne makes Pamela's Patterns look good in print. We have worked together since 1993, developing newsletters and marketing. She takes whatever I give her, arranges it beautifully, cleans up my attempts at artwork, and is my sounding board on ideas. Her dedication over the years has been invaluable!
Web Developer, Jon Siterlet
Jon Siterlet, owner of Digital 42, has been a tremendous help and inspiration for Pamela's Patterns website. Unlike any other webhost company I have worked with, he is available, innovative, and skilled. I feel very blessed to have him as a part of the team, and highly recommend him to anyone who needs a new website! You can contact Jon via his website.
