Bye-Bye Back, Waist, Tummy and Hip Fluff - Hello to a Smoother You!
Modern shapewear doesn't have to be torturous - that is, if you make your own! Clothing will fit better, hang better, look better - and you"ll still be able to breather and be comfortable. Reducing shapewear squishes body "fluff" to a new location, but Smoothing Shapewear will do just what it says - make you look smoother. The Secret? Pamela's Power Panels! Finally - you can have shapewear that is simple to fit and inexpensive to make.
The Studio at Pamela's Patterns carries a small supply of fabrics needed for the Shapewear in the colors nude and black. Contact Pamela for more info: pamela@pamelaspatterns.com

Underbust
What makes this cami special? You can wear you own well-fitting bra! It doesn't change bra size or shape, but will smooth out the fluff on your back and the scallops on your sides and tummy.
Suggested Fabrics and Notions:
- 2/3 yard of 60" wide, medium weight (at least 5.5 oz.) nylon lycra
- 5/8 yard of 54"-60" wide, medium weight power net
- 4-1/2 yard 3/8"-5/8" wide, picot edge (plain or felt back) elastic
Undies
The high waist and generous leg openings prevent the skin denting caused by elastic. The undies are created from 4 shaped panels, guaranteed to make you look smooth - and they won't ride up. Add power panels just where you need the extra support - front, back, sides or on every panel!
Suggested Fabrics and Notions:
- 1/2 yard of 60" wide, medium weight (at least 5.5 oz) nylon lycra
- 1/2 yard of 54"-60" wide, medium weight power net
- 6"x 6" scrap cotton/blend knit for the crotch liner
- 2 3/4 yard 3/8" - 5/8" wide, picot edge (plain or felt back) elastic
- *Everyday Undies - use any knit fabric or stretch lace
Slip
We've all tried them - the body shaping slips that, after a short time, bunch around your waist - ugh! The bottom portion of this slip is made from tricot slip fabric that will stay where it's supposed to - under your clothing! And you'll still get the control you need in the waist, tummy and high hip areas.
Suggested Fabrics and Notions:
- 1/3 yard of 60" wide, medium weight (at least 5.5 oz) nylon lycra
- 1/3 yard of 54"-60" wide, medium weight power net
- 1/2 yard of 60" wide, nylon tricot
- 1 1/4 yard 3/8"-5/8" wide, picot edge (plain or felt back) elastic
- 1 1/2 yard 1"-3" wide, stretch lace (optional)
